Roy Gaston is one of Ireland's foremost and respected wildlife artist and watercolourist. He paints mostly privately commissioned work at his studio near Antrim. His paintings are much loved and highly sought after, with exhibitions selling out moments after opening.

His painting of “The Island” our 17th hole was commissioned by our then Captain, Pat Joyce in 1997, and was used by Pat as his first prize in that year’s Captain’s Day. The painting was won by James McCabe.

There are now a limited number of framed prints available to purchase at a cost of £85. If you wish to acquire one, please contact Michael in the office on 028 7946 8468. Alternatively we are offering the print for £50

Moyola Player of the Year Moyola Park GC 2014 Player of the Year David Simpson

After Saturdays last remaining qualifying event, David Simpson has won the 2014 Moyola Player of the Year Award with a fantastic score of 224 points. David had lead the event for quite a few months but managed to hold off the competition to lift the award. Congratulations David.

Captains Day 2014 Prize Winners

It was Donal Mullan who managed to secure the title of 2014 Captains Day winner with a superb score of 43 points. Close behind was Eugene Donaghy with 42, third place was David Simpson with the gross prize going to Mark Watters.

North of Ireland Winner Chris Selfridge with Mr Captain John Bosco O'Hagan

Moyola's Chris Selfridge who won his fourth 'Major' by retaining the North of Ireland Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush earlier this year.

Chris has now won four amateur majors - the East and the Close in 2012 and the last two Norths. With his Close title also coming at Royal Portrush, he could be forgiven for dreaming big when the Open Championship eventually visits the Dunluce links.
